The Passion of the Christ: Songs (Original Songs Inspired by the Film) is a multi-artist album featuring songs inspired by the 2004 motion picture The Passion of the Christ, released on Lost Keyword Records in 2004, distributed in the US by BMG Distribution, a division of BMG Entertainment. (The Passion of the Christ is a film depicting the final twelve hours in the life of Jesus of Nazareth, on the day of his crucifixion in Jerusalem. The movie was directed and executive-produced by Mel Gibson.)

In 2005, The Passion of the Christ: Songs won a Dove Award for Special Event Album of the Year at the 36th GMA Dove Awards.

In the winter of 2004, Oscar-winning director Mel Gibson released a film of epic proportions that had taken him over a decade to bring to the screen. Documenting the last hours of Jesus Christ’s life, this uncompromising vision has touched millions of people around the globe since its initial release. Some of music’s most popular and lauded performers, their hearts stirred upon viewing this film, were inspired to write songs as lasting testimonies to the emotions they felt.
