Description

Laser Love – b/w “Your Love Is Alive” – is a two-sided 7-inch vinyl single by the British new wave band After The Fire, released in the UK on CBS Records August 10, 1979 (catalogue number CBS 7769). The title track was taken from the band’s up-coming full-length album by the same titled, released on CBS Records in September 1979. The B-side features a non-album track. Both tracks produced by Muff Winwood with Rhett Davies co-producing the title track. Both tracks co-written by band members Andy Piercy and Peter ”Memory” Banks.

“Laser Love” peaked at No. 62 on the UK single chart.

Note: The single is pressed on orange vinyl with embossed labels, housed in a die cut cover with ‘laser beam’ cut-outs. (The single was also released with ordinary paper labels. As well released on black vinyl.) Both tracks were later included on the double disc compilation Der Kommissar: The CBS Recordings released in 2005.
