Description
Sanctity, sub-titled The Best of British Sanctified Dance + Pop, is a multi-artist compilation album featuring British electronic pop/dance artists, released in the UK on Resolve Records/Alliance Music in 2000. Also released on Resolve Records in the US, distributed by Diamante Music Group.
This is, as the title claims, the best of British dance/pop music. If you’re new to the world of UK sanctified dance this compilation is worth getting. With cuts like «The Real Thing», «Jumping In The House Of God» plus the more recent «Frantik» from The World Wide Message Tribe, Preacha’s (aka Cameron Dante) excellent «Bring Me Joy» featuring Lee Paul Elliot, «All I Want Is You» and «Say It Loud» (from Resource 2000) and Minds Of Men’s version of «Promised Land» make this one hot compilation. In addition, we have classics, old and new, from Dba, Hydro, Bliss, Lucy Britten, ‘Jumping In The House Of God Volume One‘ and, one of my favourites, «Revolution» from the Tribe. However, if you want to tune into this rapidly expanding style, and do not know where to start, then this album is just what you need. [David Bain, Cross Rhythms, June 2000]
