Description
Ultimate Metal 2 is a multi-artist compilation released on StarSong Records in 1990. It was preceded by Ultimate Metal released the previous year.
Hot off the success of last year’s ‘Ultimate’ series comes a competent follow-up- Representing “the best of Christian metal” this time around are: «Attention Please» by Whitecross; «King of Kings» by Barren Cross; «To the End» by David Zaffiro; «Help Me» by Zion; «If You Will» by Deliverance; «World Come Crashing», A Billy Idol/The Cult sound-alike, by Undercover; «Waste Your Life Away» by Xalt; «Dance on the Head of the Serpent» by Sweden’s Jerusalem; «Alone in Suicide» by Bloodgood; «One of a Kind» by Guardian; and the instrumental «Woodpecker Stomp» by guitar virtuoso Jeff Sheetz.
This album serves a a great introduction to Christian metal. [Doug Van Pelt, CCM, December 1990]
