Power of Love

Description

Power of Love is an album by the American singer and songwriter Arlo Guthrie, released on Warner Bros. Records in 1981. The album was recorded and mixed by Mark Linett at Amigo Studios (a.k.a. Warner Bros. Recording Studios) in North Hollywood, California; with John Pilla producing for Route 183 Productions. The title cut is a cover of a song written by T-Bone Burnett and originally recorded on Burnett’s 1980 solo debut album entitled Truth Decay.

Featuring Arlo Guthrie on acoustic guitar, piano and vocals, Jai Winding on keyboards, Hadley Hockensmith of Koinonia fame on guitar (with Dean Parks sitting in on a couple of tracks), as well as a rhythm section consisting of bassist Bob Glaub and drummer Russ Kunkel.
