Description

Acoustic Worship 2: We Bow Down is a multi-artist project put together by Worship Together and manufactured and released on Sparrow Records in 2000, distributed by Chordant Distribution Group. The album was recorded at Neverland in Nashville and Earful Sound in Brentwood; Tennessee; with Derri Daugherty of The Choir fame and John Hartley of Phil and John fame producing. Additional keyboards recorded by Phil Madeira at The Mission in Nashville. Mixed by Derri Daugherty at Neverland (tracks: 1, 3, 6, 9, 10) and by Shane D. Wilson at Dark Horse Recording in Franklin, Tennessee (tracks: 2, 4, 5, 7, 8).

The first album in the Acoustic Worship series was released the same year, entitled Acoustic Worship 1: Take Us to the River.

Dating back to the late ’90s, this may seem a slightly dated choice of songs by now (with the exception of two new songs from this century). The worship songs cover Viola’s «We Bow Down», Brian Houston‘s «I Will Enter His Gates», Phatfish’s «Holy, Holy» (sung by Sarah Sadler), Paul Oakley’s «I Will Always Love Your Name», Matt Redman’s «The Eyes Of My Heart», and three Noel Richards‘ songs. A companion songbook is available. Tastefully produced Stateside by lead vocalist Derald Daugherty and John Hartley, this intimate acoustic compilation is for personal or small group settings.
