Frontline Rewind 31: Frontline Gospel (Compilation)
Rewind Episode 31 includes music from “Frontline GOSPEL”, a collection of tracks from some of the label’s favorite Gospel albums. In celebration of Black History Month (February) executive producer, Adel Meisenheimer, calls one of her peers, April Washington, founder and president of Habakkuk Music, home to stellar, Dove and Grammy award winning artists. Topics include the influence on Black Gospel by choirs, the Winans family and hip-hop /rap. Listeners will hear music from artists who influenced Gospel music in the early 1990s. Releases include multi-award winner, Nicole C. Mullen; Angie & Debbie Winans self-titled album originally released on Capitol Records with Whitney Houston singing background; and Gospel Gangstaz rapping with the U.C.L.A. Gospel Choir.
