Description
The self-titled album by the American pop/rock combo Under New Management was released on FourMost in 1972. The album was produced by Jim Fortunato. Arranged and conducted by Larry Mayfield. “Campus Life experience from YFC”.

The album includes covers of songs like the Andrae Crouch classic “I’ve Got Confidence”, originally recorded on Andrae Crouch & the Disciples’ 1971-album Keep on Singin’, “Forget Your Hexagram”, a song written by Larry Norman and originally recorded on his 1969-album Upon This Rock, “Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled”, a song written by Steve Camp and later recorded on his 1978-album Sayin’ it With Love, as well as the Carol King classic “You’ve Got A Friend”, among others.
One of those typical co-ed Campus Life/Youth For Christ outfits that’s heavy on the pop/easy-listening harmonies, not to mention the Larry Mayfield orchestration. Every now and then they “rock out” with a cheesy electric lounge “psych” arrangement that may include wah-wah or fuzz guitar, the best examples being Larry Norman’s «Forget Your Hexagram», Bread’s «Mother Freedom» and Skip Prokop’s «Step Out On The Sea». You still have all those horns and strings to deal with, plus most everything else on the album is maximally smooth and mellow. Includes a large foldout poster insert.
