Description
The self-titled debut album by the British progressive folk singer and songwriter Bill Fay (September 9, 1943 – February 21, 2025) was released on Deram Records in 1970, a sub-label of Decca Records. The album was engineered by Bill Price and produced by Peter Arden and Bill Fay.
A demo version of the album track “Garden Song” was later included on the multi-artist mainstream compilation Dust on the Nettles: A Journey Through the British Underground Folk Scene 1967-1972 released on Grapefruit/Cherry Red Records in 2015.
“Be Not So Fearful” was covered by Damien Jurado & Richard Swift on their duo project Other People’s Songs: Volume One released on Secretly Canadian in 2016.
