This is an inside job, aimed straight at the Christian market with no intention of crossover. Talbot does carry the Cross over to the church though and these stories are really sermons. There’s still some pop in here but plenty of big church choirs make the sound unmistakably gospel. [Billboard Magazine, November 9, 1985 (Reviews section / Gospel Recommended)]
