Eyes Wide Open (2025) is a digital single by the American singer and songwriter Riki Michele feat. Greg Lawless (both of Adam Again fame), self-released in April 2025. The track was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jordan Krimston with Riki Michele and Krimston producing. The song was written by Gene Eugene and originally recorded on Adam Again’s 1988-album, Ten Songs by Adam Again.

Vocals and vocal arrangements by Riki Michele; guitar solo by Greg Lawless; keyboards by Ryan Finch; and drums, programming, and guitar by Jordan Krimston.

It’s finally here and in our hot little hands to share!!! When we did our Kickstarter for my children’s book, I Can’t Wait, last spring, our stretch goal was for Greg Lawless and me to redo an Adam Again song. With Greg’s blessing, I chose «Eyes Wide Open». It’s one of my favorites, not only for the groove, but the lyrics are as meaningful today as they were when the album was released. For me, they’re all about clarity and belonging… finding your footing. It’s not lost on me that Adam Again music is sacred to a lot of people, myself included. We tried to honor it and have fun with it. Much love and thanks to Jordan Krimston, who played on and produced it. It’s available on all streaming services and on Bandcamp.
