Description

Fight the Fight (Rescue the Unborn) is a multi-artist 12-inch vinyl Maxi-single, released on Live Oak Records in 1985, distributed by Word. The title track “Fight The Fight (Voices For The Unborn)”, which is the only track included on side one, was written by Annie Herring of 2nd Chapter of Acts fame. Side two of the maxi-single features four bonus tracks: “Open Your Eyes” from Keith Green’s album The Prodigal Son, “Daughter Of Heaven” from Jamie Owens-Collins’s album A Time For Courage, “Heart Of Steel” from Bob Ayala’s album Rescued , and “What To Do With My Heart” from 2nd Chapter Of Acts’ album Night Light.

The title track features a session band with Michael Omartian on keyboards, Dann Huff (of White Heart fame) on guitar, as well as Abraham Laboriel on bass and Bill Maxwell on drums (actually the rhythm section of Koinonia), with Dan Collins producing. Featuring a multi-artist choir with lead vocals provided by (in order of appearance): Scott Wesley Brown, Debby Boone, Dallas Holm, Kelly Willard, Steve Taylor, Sheila Walsh, Steve Camp, Pam Mark Hall, Greg X. Neither Live Oak Records, nor any of the singers, players, producers, publishers, or retail outlets are receiving any financial benefit from the sale of Fight The Fight. All proceeds from the sale of this recording are being donated to the fight against abortion.

As Christian artists, we feel the responsibility to lead the body of Christ into spiritual warfare against abortion, just as the musicians lead the army of God into battle in II Chronicles 20. In all, over 100 Christian recording artists, musicians, and their families have donated their time and talents to this project to “Rescue The Unborn.”
