Ut i solen

Description

Ut i solen is an album by the Norwegian singer Marian Lisland (later of Oslo Gospel Choir fame), released on the Norwegian gospel label FA-Studio ‎in 1985 (a Salvation Army label). The album was produced, arranged, recorded, and mixed by Rolf Løvland at FA-Studio in Oslo, Norway. Featuring songs written by songwriters such as Tore W. Aas of Oslo Gospel Choir fame, Roland Utbult, Rolf Løvland, Bjørn Eidsvåg, Arnold Børud, Morgan Evja, Vidar Kristensen, Jan Linnsund, and Tone Pettersen. As well featuring a cover of the Kurt Kaiser classic “Pass It On“.

Marian Lisland is backed by a session band featuring Kjetil Bjerkestrand on keyboards; Rolf Løvland on flute; Eivind Aarset, Torkil Myhre of Soli Deo fame, and Jana Persson of Licence fame on guitar; Kjetil Saunes on bass; and Anders Viken on drums. Background vocals provided by Gro Siri Johansen, Magne Heimark, and Marian Lisland.
