Description

Christmas is a multi-artist Christmas compilation released on Sparrow Records late September 1988.

After getting past the inventive title, you’ll find a prized collection of Christmas classics set to contemporary styles. A cache of Sparrow artists perform their favorite carols in their own genre: BeBe and CeCe Winans’ sophisticated soul on «Silent Night»; White Heart’s rocking «Little Drummer Boy»; Deniece Williams’ soulful «Do You Hear What I Hear?» and others. There are also some bonuses: Geoff Moore and The Distance covering «Jingle Bell Rock»; Steve Taylor’s mariachi version of «Winter Wonderland»; and the song «Home for the Holidays», sung «We Are the World» style by many of Sparrow’s artists.
