A Very Blue Rock Christmas is a multi-artist Christmas project independently released on Blue Rock Artists in November 2013. Features acoustic live samples from various Blue Rock Studio Christmas concerts. It was followed up with A Very Blue Rock Christmas, Vol. 2 released in 2021.

A Very Blue Rock Christmas … featuring David Wilcox, Ruthie Foster, Sara Hickman, Terri Hendrix, Pierce Pettis, Rj Cowdery, Beth Wood, Nathan Brown, Grace Pettis, Tom Prasada-Rao, Bob Bennett, and Billy Crockett.

Included are 14 selected highlights from seven years of our favorite artists and packed-out holiday concerts.

There is a tradition in December in the Texas hill country town of Wimberley. The scene is Blue Rock Studio decked in garlands and drenched in candlelight, with the aromas of pine needles and chocolate chips. Performers trade songs and stories in the round, adding harmonies and solos, becoming each other’s muses. The evening is marked with laughter, carol-singing and remarkable artistry.
