Christmas Worship

Description

Christmas Worship is an album by the American singer, songwriter, and worship leader Paul Baloche, released on Integrity Music in October 2013.

Christmas Worship Live

Although award-winning US worship artist Paul Baloche has had a long and fruitful career, his latest release marks his first ever Christmas project. As the title suggests, Baloche has chosen to introduce a praise element to Christmas music and therefore carols such as «Hark The Herald Angels Sing», «O Come All Ye Faithful» and «Joy To The World» are augmented by sections containing new melodies and lyrics to give a contemporary worship feel to proceedings. Original numbers like «What Can I Do» (co-written with Graham Kendrick) and a yuletide version of the Baloche stalwart «Your Name» offer up something new whilst the decision to share vocal duties on «This Is Love» (Kathryn Scott), «Follow That Star» (Aaron Shust) and «Prepare Him Room» (written by Baloche’s wife Rita and sung by Jennifer Holm) all help to make this a varied release that pushes Christmas music forward whilst acknowledging the genre’s glorious past.
