To a Higher Place is an album by the American contemporary gospel singer Tramaine Hawkins, released on Columbia Records in 1994, distributed by Sony Music.

Tramaine is certainly one vocalist to whom the word “diva” could be applied without fear of argument. The Grammy-winning artist’s debut on Columbia features a superb production team, a faultless choice of musicians and material and, of course, the voice. From the opening a cappella strains of «Amazing Grace» to the decades-spanning duet with Mahalia Jackson on «I Found the Answer» to the majestic finale, «It’s Never Too Late», Tramaine sounds as good as ever.
