SoulJourn is an album by the American hip-hop group 1 Way, released on Seventh Street in 1999, distributed by Diamante Music Group.

This has been out for year but only now has it come to my attention. Clearly I’ve been remiss for this is an outstanding joint of West Coast hip hop with Proverb, Morphisis, Versal and 2 Edge giving out with often dazzling rhymes over lugubrious samples that seem to favour delicate cellos and violas (I lie not). Sometimes all that free form stuff can get seriously tiring but after the 20 cuts (including interludes) here I was reaching for the repeat button. In-your-face Jesus music for the streets.
