My Refuge is collection of acoustic recordings of personal favourite tracks by the American singer and songwriter Margaret Becker, independently released on Margaret Becker Productions in 2002. (Re-issued the following year as My Refuge: Acoustic Sketches by Kingsway Music in the UK, and as Just Come In by Cross Driven Records ‎in the US and Canada, distributed by Provident Music Distribution.) The album was recorded by Jordan Richter and Stephen Leiweke at One G and at Yackland Studios in Nashville, Tennessee; with Margaret Becker producing for Modern M, a division of The Select Artist Group. Mixed by Shane Wilson at Pentavarit Studios in Nashville

This is the same CD currently being marketed in the US and overseas as ‘Just Come In’. Don’t ask me why, but Kingsway are using a different name! I’d hate to bestow the kiss-of-death title ‘Queen of CCM’, so I won’t. Margaret Becker has been a prolific and highly respected artist on the scene for the last two decades, and she’s showing no signs of tapering off as she hits her 40s. This CD brings together some of her personal favourite tracks and she (together with a high class list of collaborators) re-interprets them here with a pared down, acoustic feel. The result is that the songs, stripped of the strictly transitory trappings of pop, charm anew. A breath of unfiltered fresh air. Standouts? «Feel It All» and «All I Ever Wanted».
