Description
The Meaning of Love is the sole solo album by the American singer and songwriter Linda Elias of Rick Elias and The Confessions fame, released on Wonderland in 1991, manufactured and distributed by Word. (Wonderland was a short-lived alternative imprint of Word run by Caesar Kalinowski, who also was the mastermind behind other record labels such as Graceland and Intense.) The album was recorded by Dave Jahnsen at McCrummy Music Studio in Whittier, California; with Linda’s husband Rick Elias producing. Mixed by Dave Jahnsen and Rick Elias at Mixing Lab A in Garden Grove, California. All songs co-written by Linda Elias (except track 8).
Featuring Linda Elias on keyboards and lead vocals, backed by a session band consisting of Michele Garcia on piano, Tim Elias on keyboards (who also provided keyboard and drum programming), Rick Elias on acoustic guitar, Glenn Pearce on electric guitar, Kelly Burns on bass, and Doug Mathews on drums, with Steve Crum sitting in on soprano saxophone on track 8. Backing vocals provided by Dave Jahnsen, Julie Robbins, Linda Elias, and Rick Elias.
