The Art of Xenos: Entertaining Aliens is an album by the American hip-hop group Future Shock, released on Syntax Records in October 2002, distributed by Diamante. The album was recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered at Syntax Records, California.
It’s been six years, yep six, since the team wooed the hip-hop crowd with ‘Remember The Future’ so a return for these nifty purveyors of the more abstract and freeform dimensions of the rappers art is very welcome. They are aided by some sublime scratching on «Jazzman» and a guest appearance on «Integers & Fractions» by one of the best rappers in Christendom, Sup The Chemist. Spots are also found for numerous other guests including Pigeon John, Kaitlyn Cassels (of Sackcloth Fashion) and B-Twice (of LA Symphony). «Should I» explores the dynamics of persevering through trials, while «Paper Weights», with a wicked guitar sample and six MCs in turn stepping up to the microphone, makes for a compulsive sound.
