Code Of Ethics – Arms Around the World

Description

Arms Around the World is the third album by the American synth-pop band Code of Ethics, released on ForeFront Records in 1995, distributed by Star Song Communications in the US. The album was produced by Tedd T. and Barry Blaze.

The band, pioneers in the sanctified dance scene, have now moved more into a pop rock mould while still retaining all their rhythmic sensibilities. Standouts are «Hurricane» with a sublime section where an operatic lady suddenly gives out over the crunching riffs and «Voice Of Reason». As usual, the rather colourless vocals don’t quite match the inventiveness of the rhythms but this is still a satisfying marriage of pop, rock and dance. [Tony Cummings, Cross Rhythms, October 1995]
