Description

Collection is a compilation album by the American singer and songwriter Bob Farrell (October 23, 1948 – July 11, 2026) of Farrell & Farrell fame, self-released in June 2009.

Some of you remember Farrell & Farrell, the christian music duo comprised of my wife Jayne and I, we recorded 8 albums and toured extensively throughout the world from the mid 70’s into the early 90’s

When we stopped touring around ’91, I turned my interest to continuing to write for other artist – including three musicals with Greg Nelson and one rock opera with Eddie DeGarmo. Those projects were all multi-artist recordings and tours, and for which I was variously co-producer or show director.

But all along the way, with all that recording – no solo recording.

This project is not the audio version of my “Great American Novel”, long pent up. It’s just a group of songs of mine, recorded with help from friends and former band members.

A collection.

Some are covers of artist cuts – some are brand-new-right-out-of-the-box – some are songs I’ve always loved, but had never been recorded – a couple are revisits to songs from the F&F era that I think still apropos and viable in our current time and culture – overall a mixture of christian songs and pop love songs.

Songs imbued with things I really want to say. No apology for the extreme diversity of styles – my writing has always been eclectic, to say the least.
