Every Place is Under the Stars

Description

Every Place is Under the Stars is a studio album by the British singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Adrian Snell, released on Serious Music in October 2006. This album features all new material and contributions from Adrian’s daughter, Carla. Cover artwork by Jon Birch.

UK singer, songwriter and composer Adrian Snell has an impressive musical career that spans over 30 years. ‘Every Place Is Under The Stars’ is a return to his contemporary roots and showcases the depth and breadth of his musical ability. There is an array of musical styles on the album, from the laid back jazz of «Angel At The Breakfast Table», to the haunting instrumental «Kakamega» and the post-Police Sting-like «You Are There» and album highlight «O Signore». Despite this smorgasbord of styles there is a fluidity and beauty to the overall sound and feel of the CD. Adrian’s trademark elegant piano and warm vocals are complemented by his daughter Carla Jae. Her vocals sound not unlike Lou Fellingham, providing not only some beautiful harmonies but also takes the lead on a couple of the tracks. With lyrics inspired by Adrian’s personal journey and experiences, and a quality sound to the production, there is a real depth and integrity to this recording proving that it doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been in the music industry real talent will continue to shine through.
