First Class

Description

First Class is the sophomore album by the American pop group The Boones (a.k.a. The Boone Girls, a quartet of gospel-singing siblings: Cherry, Lindy, Laury and Debby Boone), released on Lamb & Lion Records in May 1978. Basic tracks and overdubs recorded by Brown Bannister at The Gold Mine in Brentwood, Tennessee; with Chris Christian of Home Sweet Home Productions producing. Vocal overdubs recorded at United Western Studios in Los Angeles, California. Mixed by Bannister at The Gold Mine. Featuring a cover of “Father’s Arms”, a song written by Terry Taylor and originally recorded by his band Daniel Amos on their 1977-album, Shotgun Angel.

Trivia: The Boones was the group that graced the cover of the first-ever issue of Contemporary Christian Music Magazine (best known as simply CCM Magazine) in 1978.
