All songs written or co-written by Bob Wolfgramm and Lowell Tarling (except “Father in Heaven” featuring music by Lester Silver).

All vocals by Sally Hilder who is backed by Charlie Hull on electric piano and Arp-omni mini-moog; Mike Reid on 6- and 12-string acoustic guitars as well as lead guitar; Bob Wolfgramm and Lowell Tarling on 6-string acoustic guitars; Sam Melamed on slide guitar; John Coker on bass; and Ron Papos on drums. As well featuring Colin Mack on mouth harp and Graham Jessee on reeds (tenor-, alto-, and soprano saxophones, as well as flutes).

Someone investigating our civilisation an eon from now and having only a cross section of ‘today’s christian music’ by which to evaluate us could be forgiven for drawing the conclusion that we were ‘nearly perfect’ and lived perpetually on cloud one million with wave after glorious wave of rapture bursting over us.

We, Bob, Lowell and Genna have put Galilee together because all our friends are sinners.

When you are ‘passing through’ via Calvary, it’s not all ‘cocktail piano’. There is rage and bitterness together with the ecstasy. This album us the music of sinners who wish they weren’t. The songs confess (at last) that the gospel of real Christianity centres around the cross on which a Man died to save sinners.

Sally has taken our songs and interpreted them with raw sensitivity and power. Making this album with her has been a very exciting experience. [A note on the inside of the gatefold sleeve]
