Description
Walk That Talk is the debut album by the American singer and songwriter Tom Franzak, released on Myrrh Records in 1983, a division of Word. The album was recorded by Joe Bellamy at Peace in the Valley Recording in Arleta, California; with Tom Franzak and Bellamy producing. Mixed by Bellamy at Peace in the Valley Recording and at The Mix Room in Burbank, California. Arranged by Bellamy and Franzak. All songs written by Tom Franzak.
Featuring Tom Franzak on lead vocals, as well as piano, organ, synthesizer, and accordion; on most tracks backed by Marty Walsh on guitar and a rhythm section consisting of Jerry Scheff on bass and Ron Tutt on drums (both of TCB Band fame; Elvis Presley’s rhythm section). Background vocals on the title track and “HGT (Heavy Guilt Trip)” provided by Andrea Robinson and Tommy Funderburk.
The same year Myrrh Records released a four-track 7-inch split EP featuring two tracks from Walk That Talk (“I Know What Love’s About” and “Walk That Talk”) as well as two tracks from Randy Stonehill’s 1983 Myrrh release Equator (“Shot De Do” and “Light of the World”).
