Description
The Worship II is a worship project released on Star Song Records in 1983 under the moniker Church In The City, distributed by Word. Also released in the UK. The album was recorded and mixed by Brian Tankersley at Rivendell Sound Recorders in Pasadena, Texas; with Fletch Wiley of Sonlight fame producing and arranging for Unleavened Productions. Strings recorded by Bob Singleton at Omega Audio in Dallas, Texas. The album was a follow-up to Star Song Records’ 1982 effort, The Worship Album.
Featuring a session band consisting of producer Fletch Wiley providing piano, flute, recorder, trumpet, and percussion; as well as Alan Mesko on piano, Mike Deasy on guitar, Dan Smith on bass, and Pat Bautz on drums.
Vocals conducted by Charlcie Phifer and provided by Al Moreno, Alan Westwick, Albert Salazar, Bob Brogan, Bobby Johnson, David Fairhurst, Gwen Moreno, Lynn Brogan, Marleah Baird, Michele Johnson, Peggy Moss, Peggy Nicks, and Charlcie Phifer.
This anthology of worship and praise songs exemplifies the worship service, as lead by Bob Brogan, of Church in the City, Houston, TX, an affiliated Church of the Assemblies of God. Worship II is a sequel recording to The Worship Album on Star Song Records and Tapes. [Note printed on the back of the LP sleeve]
