Description
Reinterpretations is a digital-only five-track EP consisting of re-recordings of four song by the American alternative rock band The Choir‘s (plus a cover of a song by The 77s), independently released on the band’s own label Galaxy21 Music in October 2024. The original versions of «Consider», «The Rifleman», and «Chase The Kangaroo» was featured on the band’s 1988-album Chase the Kangaroo, while «More Than Words» was featured on their 1985-EP Shades of Gray. “Nowhere Else” is a song originally featured on The 77’s 1990 release, Sticks and Stones.
An Extended Edition entitled Reinterpretations (7 + 7 = 9) featuring four extra tracks is also available at The Choir’s Bandcamp-page.
These are select songs from the bonus tracks we did on our Chase the Kangaroo Kickstarter campaign last year, but never released worldwide until now. Reinterpretations is a 5 song EP of special versions of ours that we re-imagined. All recorded in the studio last year, the EP features «Consider», «The Rifleman», «Chase The Kangaroo», and «More Than Words». Plus a cover of the classic 77s song «Nowhere Else» that features a guest appearance from our friends in the band The Afters [The Choir].
“Reinterpretations (7 + 7 = 9)” is a 9 song album of special songs of ours that we re-imagined in celebration of our Chase The Kangaroo Kickstarter campaign. We recorded 3 songs live and jumped in the studio for the 5 songs with one being a cover of the classic 77s song «Nowhere Else» and 77s covering The Choir’s «To Cover You».
