Description
Winter is five-track contemporary worship CD-EP by the British singer and songwriter Jonathan Ogden of Rivers & Robots fame, self-released in February 2017.
The last EP of the Rivers & Robots founder, Jonathan’s Seasons project is inspired by winter and is in a suitably sombre mood with five songs of comfort and encouragement in faith. Musically, the formula of guitar and keys continues, but unlike the ‘Spring’ release, this EP features just Jonathan with no guest vocalists. The opening track «Friend» with gentle acoustic guitar, explores God’s faithful and patient character while creation and the Godhead are explored in «Lost In Wonder». The simplicity of the arrangement on «All My Love» – just voice and keys – is beautiful and «You Came Down» explores Christmas with detail often passed over in the usual songs of the season.
