MIDNIGHT OIL – Diesel And Dust – Columbia (CK 40967) – Producers: Wayne Livesey-Midnight Oil
Australian hitmakers deliver a top-quality rocking performance on their latest disc, Diesel And Dust. This full-digital recording translates tremendously to disc – never sounding overbearing or cluttered. The release of this new disc should succeed is gaining Midnight Oil wider American acceptance and mainstream radio attention. «Arctic World», «Beds Are Burning», «Sell My Soul», «Bullroarer», «The Dead Heart» and «Put Down That Weapon» are all worth an immediate listen. Midnight Oil perform genuine, thought-provoking, intelligent rock and roll – and are definitely worthy of more attention. Not just the latest import from down under… [CashBox Magazine, Vol. LI – No. 35, March 5, 1988 (CD Spotlight)]
