The Blind Leading the Naked is an album by the American alternative rock band Violent Femmes, released on Slash ‎Records in 1986, manufactured and distributed by Warner Bros. Records. The album was recorded by David Vartanian at DV’s Perversion Room in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; with Jerry Harrison producing. Featuring Gordon Gano on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Brian Ritchie on bass, lead and rhythm guitar, and Victor DeLorenzo on drums and percussion.

The following year lead singer Gordon Gano released an album with his alternative rock/gospel project The Mercy Seat.
