X-Factor

Description

X-Factor is the third album by Swedish pop/rock band Edin-Ådahl, released in the US on Refuge Records in 1984, distributed by The Benson Company. (The original Swedish version of the album, entitled Maktfaktor, was released on the Swedish gospel label Royal Music the previous year, featuring different cover artwork.) The album was recorded by Niklas Flyckt and Peter In de Betou at Europa Film and Studio Bastun in Stockholm, Sweden; with the band producing and arranging. Mixed by Peter In de Betou at Studio Bastun.

It should be noted that X-Factor features a slightly different tracklist than the original Swedish release as “Like a Motion Picture” is included on the English edition only. The new track was also included on the Swedish multi-artist sampler Nya Tracks (“New Tracks”) released on Royal Music in 1985. “Like a Motion Picture” was as well re-recorded by band member Bertil Edin and included on his solo debut album entitled Cross the Border released on the Swedish label Bastun in 1984, and on Refuge Records in the US the following year.
