Askepott

Description

Askepott is the debut album by the Norwegian singer and songwriter Solveig Leithaug, released on the Norwegian indie label Storm Production in 1985, distributed by Master Music. The album was recorded at Rainbow Studio in Oslo, Norway; at Soundtrade Studio in Stockholm, Sweden; and at Custom Sound Lab in Copenhagen, Denmark; with Finn Pedersen of Good News fame and Svein Gundersen producing for Storm Production. Digitally mixed at Custom Sound Lab. Arranged by Gundersen in co-operation with Leithaug and Pedersen. All songs written by Solveig Leithaug.

Featuring Solveig Leithaug on vocals and acoustic guitar, backed by a session band featuring Peter Ljung on keyboards, Håkan Mjørnheim on guitar, Sam Bengtson on bass, and Per Lindvall om drums, with Arild Stav providing flute and saxophone. Background vocals by Svein Gundersen and Hilde Heltberg.

The album track “Trylle bittelitt” was later re-recorded by Solveig Leithaug on her 2017-album, Time.
