Motorcycle

Description

Motorcycle is the fifth solo album by the American singer, songwriter, session musician, and producer Phil Madeira, Kickstarter-funded and independently released by Madeira on Mercyland Records in August 2016. The album was produced by Phil Madeira. Mixed by Todd Robbins. Motorcycle features the singer-songwriter side of Madeira.

The first of the two solo projects released by Phil Madeira in 2016, Motorcycle presents 15 beautiful songs all written or co-written by Madeira, including the stunning «Ghost Of Johnny Cash», and «Beautiful Scars». Recorded with some of the world’s finest musicians, the album is full of love and loss, with a dose of Madeira’s trademark irony. Cameos appearances by Emmylou Harris («Old Pair Of Shoes»), Buddy Miller («I Think About Her»), and old pal Phil Keaggy («Made Like Cars») nod gratefully to Madeira’s history as a sideman for some of the most beloved artists to call Nashville home. Musicians on this project include Emmylou’s Red Dirt Boys, plus Dennis Holt (of A.D. fame), Brady Blade, Al Perkins, Gordon Kennedy (of White Heart and Dogs of Peace fame), Byron House, Jake Armerding, James Hollihan (long-time Russ Taff sideman), and David Mansfield (of The Alpha Band fame).
