Description
Volume Two is the sophomore full-length album by the British folk group Glorylanders, released in the UK on SECC Recordings in 1971.
Volume Two has a good deal of original material, including «Better Things», «It’s A Cold, Cold Night», «Too Many Folk» (a different version than on Alive!) and «They’re Not Gonna Take Away My Crown». They also cover a number of traditionals like «Morning Train», «Jesus Met The Woman», «Come And Go With Me», «Early In The Morning» and «The Very Last Day». Mostly a straightforward folk sound with guitars, bass and percussion, although piano adds a few touches to «God’s Greatness». Nice lead guitar flourishes here and there. [Ken Scott, The Archivist]
