Description

Winners is the fifth studio album by the American R&B/funk group The Brothers Johnson, released on A&M Records in 1981. The album was recorded by Jack Joseph Puig at Studio 55, Sunset Sound, and A&M Studios in Los Angeles, California; with The Brothers Johnson (George and Louis Johnson) producing. Mixed by Puig at Ocean Way Recording in Los Angeles. Strings arranged by Jerry Hey of Seawind fame and David Diggs. Horns arranged by Hey.

The final track on the LP, “Daydreamer Dream” – a song written by Annie Herring of 2nd Chapter of Acts and originally recorded on their 1978-album Mansion Builder – features Herring on acoustic piano (as well as Louis Johnson on bass and guitar and Jeff Porcaro of Toto fame on drums).
