Trans-Atlantic Remixes [Maxi-single]

Description

Trans-Atlantic Remixes is a two-sided 33⅓ RPM 12-inch vinyl Maxi-single featuring a duet entitled “Not Gonna Fall Away” by the American artist Steve Taylor and the British artist Sheila Walsh, alongside two remixed tracks from both artist’s recent solo albums, released on Sparrow Records in 1985 (catalogue number SPR-1107).

While the A-side features the duet “Not Gonna Fall Away”, the flip-side features extended versions of two tracks from their respective 1985 studio albums released on Sparrow Records: Sheila Walsh’s “We’re All One” from her album Don’t Hide Your Heart and Steve Taylor’s “This Disco (Used To Be A Cute Cathedral)” from his album On the Fritz. Taylor and Walsh embarked on the “Transatlantic Tour” which included dates in the US and in the UK, as well as several other countries in Europe.

The Taylor/Walsh duet “Not Gonna Fall Away” is a song written by David Edwards, originally recorded on his self-titled debut album released in 1981 (though actually written by Edwards in 1979). Edwards’ debut album is considered to be the first new wave album by an American artist signed to a major US CCM label.
