Description

The self-titled album by the American gospel/R&B singer Linda Evans (April 9, 1953 – April 13, 2020) was released on Good News Records in 1985, distributed by Word. Also distributed by A&M Records. The album was recorded and mixed by Win Kutz at Mama Jo’s Recording Studio in North Hollywood, California; with Freddie Piro and Jerry Peters producing. Additional recording by Todd Van Etten. String, vocal, and rhythm track arrangements by Peters (except string arrangements on tracks B3 and B4 arranged by David Crawford; vocal arrangements on tracks A1, A3, and B3 arranged by Howard McCrary, as well as rhythm tracks on tracks A3 and B4 arranged by Howard McCrary and Skip Scarborough respectively).

Featuring a cover of “I Am Gold”, a song written by Philip Bailey, Jerry Peters, and Terri McFaddin and originally recorded on Bailey’s 1984-album The Wonders of His Love. Also featuring songs by Andraé Crouch, Bob Bailey, Donn Thomas, Jerry Peters, Terri McFaddin, and Skip Scarborough.
