Soon Coming is the sophomore solo album by the American gospel/soul/R&B singer Sherman Andrus of The Imperials and Andrus, Blackwood & Company fame, released in the US on Shalom Records in 1976, and on Praise Records (and later re-issued by New Born Records) in Canada featuring different cover artwork. The album was produced, recorded, and mixed by Bob Cotton at Associated Artists Recording Studios in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; February 1976 through June 1976. String and horn arrangements by Fletch Wiley. Background vocal arrangements by Terry Blackwood and Sherman Andrus. Featuring covers of “Walk In The Spirit”, a song written by Harlan Rogers and originally recorded by Sonlight on their self-titled album released in 1973, and “Lord Bless This Day”, a song written by Bruce Hibbard and later recorded on his 1977-album, A Light Within.

Sherman Andrus is backed by a session band featuring three members of Sonlight (known as the backup band of Andrae Crouch, both live and in the studio) – guitarist/bassist Hadley Hockensmith, keyboardist Harlan Rogers, and brass player Fletch Wiley – as well as session drummers Lanny Hanson and Keith Edwards. Background vocals provided by the Holiday Sisters, Terry Blackwood, Sherman Andrus, Rhenda Edwards, Judith Cotton, and Kelly Willard.
