In Celebration Praise is the sophomore album by the British contemporary praise and worship group Heartbeat, released on Songs of Fellowship in 1984, in co-operation with Kingsway Music. The album was produced and engineered by Andy Kidd at his Secret Studios in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The album featured a new version of “Praise Him On The Trumpet”, originally recorded on their debut album People of Power, and as well an even more successful praise and worship song, “Celebrate”.

By then Heartbeat had settled on a fairly stable personnel with Trish Morgan, Dorry Townend and Nancy Goudie on vocals, Dave Bankhead on keyboards, Ian Townend on guitar, Jeremy Jobson on bass, and Ray Goudie on drums.

Heartbeat is a music ministry team led by Ray and Nancy Goudie and is based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. By using contemporary music, they take the message of Jesus Christ to prisons, schools and colleges.

Another side of Heartbeat is their ability in leading praise and worship, both at national events like “Spring Harvest” and at their local work in church based missions. Many have experienced a new freedom and release of joy as they have joined them “In Celebration Praise”.

We believe we are living in exciting days where God is restoring some of the truths that have been generally missing from the body of Christ. One such truth is the importance of praise. No longer can it be seen as just the introduction to a time of worship. God has been showing us that expressing our praise to Him can take many different forms such as dance, shouts, movements etc., and that the “high” praises of God are very powerful in pushing back the enemy and reclaiming territory for the Lord. Since the faith project of this recording began we have evidenced God’s faithfulness and hand upon it and we would invite you to join us in giving all the glory and honour to Jesus as we prepare a “pathway of praise” for His return.
