The Porter’s Gate: Lament Songs

Description

Lament Songs is a eight-track EP by the multi-artist worship project The Porter’s Gate, independently released in September 2020, exclusively distributed by Integrity Music. The Porter’s Gate is a creative movement aimed at reimagining and recreating worship that welcomes, reflects and impacts both community and the Church.

In July of 2020, The Porter’s Gate Worship Project quarantined a small group of musicians at a farmhouse in rural Virginia to write and record new worship songs around the themes of justice and lament. The result was two albums, entitled Justice Songs and Lament Songs.

The recording features artists such as Liz Vice, Jon Guerra, Matt Maher, Latifah Alattas, Paul Zach, Taylor Leonhardt, Greg Thompson, and iAmSon.
