Stryken – First Strike

Description

First Strike – an eight track mini album – is the sophomore effort by the American metal band Stryken, independently released on Chrystal Records in 1987. The album was recorded by Kevin Myers at Studio West and Studio D in Austin, Texas; with the band producing.

Stryken is Dale Streiker on lead vocals and lead guitar; Stephen Streiker on lead vocals, rhythm guitar, and keyboards; Ezekiel Vade on bass and backing vocals; and Joey Knight on drums and backing vocals.

Note: Simultaneously released on cassette and 12-inch vinyl LP by Chrystal Records with the vinyl edition pressed on red vinyl. A remastered version was re-issued on CD by Girder Records ‎in 2006. Re-issued once again on CD by Girder Records/Retroactive Records ‎in 2009, including the complete 9 song Blitzkrieg recording. Remastered and re-issued in 2022 by Retroactive Records ‎on both CD and 12-inch vinyl LP, entitled Once Lost…Now Found (featuring a Hype Sticker saying Inc. the classic “First Strike” album plus unearthed previously unreleased tracks).
