Chatterbox – Despite

Description

Despite is the debut album by the American industrial project Chatterbox by Jeff Bellew of The Crucified fame, released on Tooth & Nail Records in 1994, distributed by Diamante Music Group. The album was recorded and mixed by Mark Rodriguez at The Green Room in Huntington Beach, California; and was produced by Scott Albert for Celldweller Productions with Mark Rodriguez and Jeff Bellew co-producing. Sonic manipulations and programming by Albert (appearing “courtesy of Circle Of Dust and R.E.X. Music.”) Arranged by Jeff Bellew who also wrote all the music.

The project hosted many session musicians, including Stavesacre and the Crucified’s Mark Salomon, and Argyle Park and Circle of Dust’s Scott Albert. Jeff Bellew has also played on Argyle Park’s album Misguided, along with Salomon, Dirk Lemmenes (of Focused and Stavesacre), and multiple other musicians.

Note: Simultaneously released on cassette and CD by Tooth & Nail Records. (In 1999, the band released a second album, which was a compilation of demos, with the first three being from a demo produced by Jyro Xhan of Mortal, the next five being recorded with the full band, the next two being between Reid and Bellew, and the final song being Reid only. The album, titled The Nothing Inside You, was released through Rotting Audio Sound Recordings.)
