Description
Carnival World is the debut album by the American metal band Seraiah, released on Pure Metal Records in 1990, a division of Star Song Communications, distributed by Spectra Distribution. The album was recorded by Alan Chase at Grand Slam Studios in Newark, New Jersey; with Jim Erdman and Steve Griffith of Vector fame producing. Mixed by Griffith. The music video for the song “Rise Up”, the debut single from the album, went all the way to No. 2 on the CCM Metal chart.
Seraiah was formed in Indiana in 1985 by drummer Kyle Dietz and guitarist Quinton Gibson. After several member changes the final lineup included vocalist Brad Beckey and bassist Tracy Ferrie. The band signed to Pure Metal/StarSong Records in 1990 and released their debut album later that year.
