Description
The self-titled debut album by the American hard rock/metal band Rage of Angels was released on Regency Records in 1989, distributed by Spectra Distribution. Also released on R.E.X. Music. The album was recorded by Bill Burke, Gary Fulton, Joe Mendek, and Paul Krueger at Audio West in West Haven, Connecticut; with Doug Mann producing, assisted by the band. Mixed by Mann and Krueger at Morningstar Studios in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Featuring Dan Mariano on lead vocals, Frank DiCostanzo and Greg Kurtzman on guitars, and a rhythm section consisting of Dale Glifort on bass and John Fowler on drums, with Chris Ainsley sitting in on keyboards on “Rock For The Rock”.
Originally known as Ransom, Rage of Angels got its start by placing two tracks on two different compilation albums: “Reason To Rock” appeared on East Coast Metal, and “Rock For The Rock” made it onto Heavy Righteous Metal.
