Warlord is the third album by the American hard rock band Philadelphia, released on Roxx Records in August 2016.

Classic Christian rockers Philadelphia are back with a brand new album! That’s right one of the pioneers of the Christian Rock and Metal movement are back in action returning to the rock scene with their third full length release entitled ‘Warlord’

Philadelphia hailed from Louisiana and burst on to the scene in 1984 with their debut album ‘Tell The Truth‘ and were one of the earliest pioneers to the young Christian metal scene. The band would play shows regularly supporting ‘Tell The Truth’ and two years later in 1986 they would release their critically acclaimed sophomore release ‘Search and Destroy‘, but sadly this would be the bands final release. Despite playing two very successful festival shows in Chicago at the annual Cornerstone festival in 1985 and 1986, and also recording and demoing several tracks that were to become the bands third album titled ‘Warlord’ the band would call it a day. Sadly the recordings were never completely finished and the tracks that were recorded never were fully finished or officially released.

Fast Forward to 2016 and that original core member trio of what was Philadelphia have reemerged with a brand new album aptly titled ‘Warlord’ yes some of the songs you see here were the remnants of those original tracks for that third album but these are all completely brand new recordings.

Roxx Records is very excited to be releasing a limited edition pressing of only 500 copies of this newly recorded masterpiece on CD format! Complete with a special CD only bonus track and packaged in a clear tray jewel case complete with an 8 page lyric booklet. This package also features Limited Edition reversible artwork that will only be featured on this first pressing.
