Trenches of Rock, sub-titled The Metal Mission of Bloodgood, is the Documentary Film Soundtrack to the movie by the same title, self-released by Bloodgood on B. Goode Records in November 2019.

A metal rock documentary done right. Trenches of Rock digs in and hits the viewer straight between the eyes about the unenviable but delicious spot that Bloodgood found themselves in – between a rock and a hard place. Too religious for the metal scene and too metal for the religious scene. All excellently edited with an in-concert volume mix of Bloodgood tunes.

An up-close and personal vantage point provided by Director Paul Bloodgood’s blood ties with his father – founder and bassist Michael Bloodgood. Don’t forget the hilariously awkward footage of the former drummer’s girlfriend – a glimpse of inner-band-workings that should be in every rockumentary. Bravo! Winner of 14 film festival awards, Trenches of Rock depicts the career of 1980s heavy metal band Bloodgood, who was targeted not only by a mainstream music industry that found their blatant use of faith-based lyrics an unfitting marriage with heavy metal, but also by Christians who believed their music was of the devil. Bloodgood became a trailblazer of Christian metal, touring the world & facing adversity head-on while confronted by death threats, picketers & protests against these metal missionaries. Executive produced by Academy Award® & Grammy Award® winner James Moll. Directed & edited by Lone Star Emmy Award® winner Paul Michael Bloodgood.
