Description

For Madmen Only is the debut album by the American metal band Atomic Opera, released on Collision Arts in ‎1994, a sub-label of Giant Records, a subsidiary for Warner Music Group. The album was produced and recorded by Sam Taylor at Rivendell Sound Recorders in Pasadena, Texas. Mixed at Rivendell. Engineered by Steve Ames.

Atomic Opera features Frank Hart on lead, rhythm, and flamenco guitar, as well as lead vocals and organ, Jonathan Marshall on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Jonas Velasco on bass and backing vocals, and Mark Poindexter on drums and backing vocals.

Note: Simultaneously released on cassette and CD by Giant Records. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the album’s release, Frank Hart released a remastered version of the album on CD in 2014 entitled For Madmen Only (20 Years Later), featuring three bonus tracks. A digitally remastered edition was released by Rock Candy in 2017, featuring a booklet with 3,500 word essay, enhanced artwork with previously unseen photos and new interview.
