Description
And Comes a Time is an album by the American rock band Daybreak, independently released by the band in 1981. The album was recorded and mixed by Don Horst at Atlantic Sound Studio in Marietta, Pennsylvania; with the band producing. Horns by Mike Crotty.
Daybreak features Mark Adamy on keyboards, vibes and vocals, Steve Walker on guitars and vocals, Don Swartzentruber on bass and vocals, and Fred Miller on drums. All songs written by various band members except track A2 written by Loyd Boldman of Prodigal fame.
The most obscure of the later Daybreak recordings also happens to be their best. «Lead On» and «Wrapped Up Tight» put forth some tough arena rock muscle that rivals the best of Petra, while the keyboard-rich «Pavilion» and title track both gleam with the excitement of heavy prog-art rockers Styx. The guitars kick on all of these, too. Clavinet and spunky horns lead the infectious funky dance groove of «Fear Not». Three fine slower tracks fill out the album, evoking the Daybreak of old on «Feelings» and «Because It’s True», or DeGarmo & Key on the rural acoustic ballad «Jonathan».
